10. Inquisition -  Ominous Doctrines of the Perpetual Mystical Macrocosm

Most hypnotic satanic black metal this year by far. Just listen to Dagon's vocal if that does not sell you to this band than just go back to lil wayne.


9. Ihsahn - After

Who couldve though a saxophone would be that badass.


8. Hail Of Bullets - On Divine Winds

This was actually a bit of a disappointment. It is better than '...Of Frost and war' in lots of way like the overal quality of the song my problem though is that its not nearly as crushing as their debut, still its 8 so its got to be good.

7. Acid Witch - Stoned

Im totally sold on these guys, ive bought a turntable just to play their fucking vinyl cause i didnt want to wait for the cd to come out. They deliver more of their drug induced doom death halloween party and everyone is happy.


6. Allegaon - Fragments of Form and Function

Sweet technical melodeath kinda similar to 'We are the Nightmare' era Arsis. This thing as it all crushing riffs, sweet melodies and crazy solos. Lyrics are pretty cool to.


5. Agalloch - Marrow Of The Spirits

Just epic. Back to a more aggresive sound. You know of Ulver? You definetly should, anyway Agalloch play something similar Ulver first album. With is black/folk a bit of rock in there and thats it, long ass melo songs, perfect for the fall/winter season.


4. In Mourning - Monolith

This is good. Kinda similar to Opeth, when Opeth were manlier, sweet growls, riff and all that jazz a few kinda hardcore-ish vocal here and there but you get over that quickly as everything else is so good.


3. Dark Fortress - Ylem

Ylem is probably one of the most varied black metal album ive ever heard, From the insane start of the title track the more melodic genius of 'As the World Keels Over' to the crushing  'The Valley' and the apocalyptic finale of 'Wraith'.


2. Enslaved - Axioma Ethica Odini

Enslaved have always release quality record and this one is no exception. Continuing in the black prog style they been doing for about 10 years now. The first thing i notice when i first played that album is how much  the clean vocals have improved and how good the production is. Every songs on that album rock even the "godamn is that Opeth" Night Sight.


1. Deathspell Omega - Paracletus

Yeah its not as mind melting as "Fas ite..." but very few album have ever been as fucked up. This album is alot more friendly, its no Simple Plan yet but will get there by the next album. Seriously shit still feels like being sucked(yeah thats right) into one of the darkest pits of hell only this time around the songs are less batshit insane but more melodic and eh... yeah this band is godamn hard to describe so im gonna stop my failling at it right here. JUST FUCKING LISTEN TO IT.
